Monday Motivation- Write it!

“If you don’t see the book you want on the shelf, write it.” ~Beverly Cleary

This was how I came up with the ideas for “Witches of Coolersville.” I’d browse the bookstore shelves or the library in the fantasy sections, and nothing caught my interest. So, when I sat down to write the first book, I had a character in mind already and I had had dreams of certain scenes. Or, those ideas that don’t go away after a long time. Too often, I’d have an idea at a time when I couldn’t write anything down. But, on occasion, there was a scene or character that wouldn’t leave my brain so I incorporated it to see if it worked.

After 4 years and maaany edits, I’m pretty happy with what I came up with and I’m excited to see where the series goes.
