DSC_0646Welcome to the official website of Carey Hardisky, writer, reader, Whovian, fantasy fanatic. Author of the New Adult fantasy series, Witches of Coolersville– release TBA

I’m on Twitter, and YouTube. I have 3 Instagram accounts- one for writing, one for my planners, and a private one for my daughter. And, I livestream on Twitch.

I also have a Ko-Fi where I will soon be offering all kinds of behind the pages content and rewards, including special videos, advance copies of each book released, character profiles, and more! Monthly support is available if you so choose. I’m going to set up tiers one day.

Me and Hubby laughing about… something ridiculous probably.

I live in a suburb of Cleveland (O-H, I-O) with my husband and daughter. We are big Cleveland sports fans, with the exception of our football loyalties. (He likes that one team that shall not be named one state to the east)

When not working on my writing, I have a part time job as a nursing home receptionist and a full time momma to a beautiful little girl.

I’ve loved writing since I was a kid. My sister and I were always coming up with insane stories with our dolls or playing pretend in the back yard playhouse.

In 2013, a friend of mine and I spent a good portion of time venting about how awful our retail jobs were. We decided that we would work to quit our jobs and focus on our creative passions as our careers. She was working on a web comic and I had a few story ideas in my head that I wanted to work on. I tried NaNoWriMo in November of that year and then in April of the following, I wrote the first draft of “Witches of Coolersville.” And, I’ve been working on the series ever since.

I still write as much as possible. But, my primary focus during the day is my daughter while my husband works. I also have designated time on weekends where they have Daddy-Daughter time and I shut myself away in the office or go to the park. Makes getting things done a little slower but I don’t want to miss watching her grow.

Current Project: Taking a break from fast drafting to focus on revisions. Talking with an editor about working together in the early months of 2022 for a spring release of book 1 on Kindle Vella? Maybe? Possibly? Nothing set in stone but a girl can dream.
