Monday Motivation- My Strength

“My strength didn’t come from lifting weights. My strength came from lifting myself up every time I was knocked down.” Bob Moore

This quote felt incredibly relevant after last week where I had all of one productive day and half of a semi-productive day until I had to help my husband with stuff around the house. Not going to lie, it was frustrating. I let a lot of personal things get in the way and it had an impact on my work.

But, staying in this mentality is not going to get me where I want to go. And, I know, not everyone can just get up and get back to work. I’m just talking about my experience because I can’t judge or comment on others.

Thankfully, I have my family and friends to help lift me up and help me get back to work. Had a good cry with my husband and talked with my mom about what was going on and it helped me feel better. I took a few days to brood and just binge YouTube. And now, it’s a new month and I’m ready to get back to work.

For extra motivation, I took this quote and wrote it out on a piece of cardstock. I keep it on my desk. We’re working on a spare bedroom as an office space for me so I’m going to pin this page on a corkboard along with some other inspiration.

What do you do when the motivation just isn’t there? For whatever reason that may occur in your life.
