W.O.C. Wednesday- Quarterly Goals

Happy April! Camp NaNoWriMo is in full swing for a number of us. As of yesterday, my count was 3732. I have a prologue, full first chapter, and part of a second. And, on this windy and cold morning, I plan on staying home and getting more work done. Trying for chapter 2 and 3 completed today. I have a busy weekend so I am getting as much done as I can this week.

I shared these in my recent newsletter but I also continue to share them on my blog. I have 15 to accomplish from April to June. I didn’t do so hot this last quarter but I was adjusting to a new schedule, I was sick, there were a number of variables that factor into that. I accomplished 7 of my 15 goals from last quarter so that’s almost half. It could be better, it could be worse.

Some of these goals, I know, might not get done in this quarter. But, I’m adding them here to show they are a priority and I will get them done as soon as I am able

  1. First draft of book 3- This is my Camp project. I have half of an outline.
  2. Find an editor- For book 1 to get it back out there
  3. Find a Cover designer- See above
  4. 1 video/week- I know I’ll surpass this goal this month because I’m participating in VEDA. (Vlog Every Day in April) I’ve already got a playlist set up. I’m doing Get Ready With Me, I showed my morning work routine on Monday, I’m planning to get together with my friend, Lisa, for some collabs, and hosting live show write-ins. Still coming up with ideas.
  5. 1 blog per week- I already exceed this but I keep it here as a priority
  6. Update my business cards- I changed my website, combining it with my blog. And, of course, my name has changed in recent months since I got married so I should probably update that.
  7. Reach 100 Subscribers on my YouTube channel. Check out the link and keep up with my VEDA progress.
  8. 1st Patreon Goal
  9. Track social media- I’ve been doing this in my planners since February. It’s been helping a lot to see where I’m at and how far I’ve come in just recent months.
  10. Short story idea- Still working out the kinks of this idea I had randomly one night. It kept me up and I couldn’t get it out of my head but now I’m stuck. Don’t you love when that happens?
  11. Keep up with mailing list
  12. Modify writing space- translation- severe declutter!
  13. Revamp Author Planners
  14. Double blog followers- I’m basically starting over since I changed my URL and transferred everything over. So, if I can get double what I had before, that’d be great.
  15. Keep up with motivational journaling- I either do this before I go to bed or first thing in the morning. I either have a guided book or affirmations or prompts. It really helps me clear my mind and get myself ready to work.

What are your goals for the coming months? How do you split them up? Monthly? Quarterly? Bi-Monthly? I’d love to hear your process.
