Quarterly Goals: January-March 2022, Quarter 1

Hey Everybody!

Continuing my goal posts for the coming year. I am breaking down my goals for the year that I shared on Tuesday into what I need to do over the course of the next 3 months to accomplish what I want. So, I will reshare each goal and talk about the steps I’m taking for this first quarter

1) Get books on Kindle Vella
* I need to coordinate with the editor. In order to book in advance, they’re asking for a percentage in advance. I’m hoping to get the manuscript to them, at latest, by the end of February/Early March
* Cover design- For my Misadventures project, I made the cover. It was easy and simple. But, I want something a bit more complex for my series and I don’t feel talented enough to do that. So, I am going to be asking some friends for ideas or recommendations of who I could work with

2) Finish self edits for books 1-3
*Focusing on book 1 so I can get everything ready for the editor.

3) Outline and draft books 5-9
*I want to make some overall series planning notes over a good portion of January and then I’ll jump into book 5. I’ve been stuck on this story for a while so I’m hoping knowing where it started and seeing where I’m going will help me fill in the gaps.

4) Resume Creator Spotlight:
*I’ve talked to friends and emailed multiple creators to get interest. Now that I have my full schedule for January for Day Job, I can start coordinating with those who have said yes.

5) Hit Affiliate on Twitch:
*I need to set up a consistent streaming schedule and reach 50 followers. The streaming time shouldn’t be that hard. It’s getting those followers. I’ve been hovering around 30 for 2 months now.

6) Regular Blog Content:
* Pretty self explanatory. I spent a lot of time working out a schedule and a list of post topics in my social media planner. I still have some more work to do but these goal updates are a good start.

Here we go. I like having the year-long goals as a guide. Maybe it’ll help me keep track of things. We’ll see.
