Looking Ahead at 2022

Hello!

Well, 2021 is (nearly) over. So, it’s time to look ahead at the next year. I’ve divided my goals into categories- Work, personal, and health. When I do my further breakdowns for quarterly, monthly, and weekly, I’ll focus on work goals as per usual. So, let’s get down to it!

Work: These are very broad goals easily (I hope) broken down for smaller time chunks
1) The biggest one is to get at least one story in my series up on Kindle Vella. I’ve been in contact with an editor and I just need to book and pay them and figure out a cover and then I will have a better idea of a timeline for release at least for book 1
2) Finish self edits for at least the first 3 books- including beta feedback
3) Outline and first draft books 5-9, so that’s ideally 1 month to outline and 1 month to draft with a little bit of wiggle room
4) Resume Creator Spotlight series on YouTube- Not sure how frequent it’ll be. Coordinating can be a time. Busy schedules, timezones, and such
5) Hit Affiliate on Twitch
6) Regular content on blog platforms

Personal:
1) Plan a birthday trip with Bestie- we have a tentative plan so far. There is a Ren Fair that weekend and we want to go all out on costuming
2) First family road trip!
3) Family adventures- zoo trips, museums, parks, beaches, all of the things we have put on hold for the past 2 years. Peanut is pretty good with wearing her mask and, hopefully, there will be a vaccine for the Littles soon so we’ll be able to do more of the things safely.

Health:
1) Try not to catch the plague
2) Drink more water
3) Better meal planning
4) Walking and outdoor exercise as much as possible
5) Exercise bike when weather does not permit outdoor exercise
6) Resume Yoga and my other stretches for my back injury- the only trouble is, when I get down on the floor, I have a tiny human who thinks Momma is a bouncy castle. So, this is limited to naptime, first thing in the morning, or when she’s at school.

Alright, those are my goals for 2022. I’ll be breaking them down quarterly, monthly, and weekly as they days go on so keep an eye out for all of the content!

Have a happy new year!

Carey
