Weekly Goals- December 6, 2021

Well, hello everyone.

Happy Monday!

Here we are. The last month of the year. The holidays are upon us, whatever they may be for you. In the Northern Hemisphere of the world, were getting ready to welcome (or dread) winter. And thoughts are shifting to the new year in just a few short weeks.

So, I have put my writing on hold as I try to figure that out. I am realizing that my May publishing goal may not be in the cards. There is a lot I need to work on with book 1 of my series so I’m pushing that back just a bit. It still will be on Vella in 2022 with a compiled release later. Just won’t be in May. I’m thinking more summer. I need to book the editor. I have no idea what I want to have as a cover. A lot of little things to figure out to make sure this is the best it can be for reader enjoyment.

I spent a good part of Saturday and Sunday in my long term planner trying to figure out things. This means sticky notes. Lots and lots of sticky notes. Seriously, I stock up on Post-its every chance I can. It’s insane. Post-Its and White-Out. That’s how often I have to rearrange things. I’ll probably keep doing that this week. Also need to fit in some Christmas shopping, although that might be next week. I also might reach out to the editor and book a time for either February or March if they’re not already full with other clients. Then I can spend January doing another massive round of self-edits with beta feedback.

Better get back to work!
