Covid-19 Semi-Quarantine Series- 5 Ohio Lockdown Edition

Hi everyone,

So, we’re weeks into this stay home order. Getting used to our routine. Try to wake up before the baby and get her bottles ready for the day. Husband goes down into his cave to work. I take care of the baby and get my work done while she naps or after she goes to bed.

I have been crushing Camp NaNoWriMo! I’m double where I’m supposed to be based on my word count. Advantage of having a low word count. I passed 10,000 words last night. I’m more than halfway to the total goal I set. It’s not just my manuscript. I’m also outlining at the same time. And, it seems to be working. We’ll see what kind of edits I’ll have to do when this draft is done.

We did have one really nice day this past week. So, I bundled up Little Bits, stuck her in the stroller, and we went outside to walk around and play with bubbles. The next day, it dropped 20 degrees and snowed. Weather in the Great Lakes. Don’t like it, wait 5 minutes. It’ll change.

They’re predicting Ohio’s peak to be very soon. The Stay Home Order was extended at the start of the month to May 1st. We’re being asked to wear masks while out. I have to wear one at work. And then, my mom made some for us for if we have to go out. Our grocery store location nearest our house is converting to pickup/delivery only so we have to go elsewhere to grocery shop. We don’t really have to go out as much because we stock up and we will have holiday leftovers this week.

My mom and mother-in-law dropped off all kinds of goodies so we can have a quiet Easter at home. Little bits got a ton of bubbles for when it’s nicer outside and a basket of candy she can’t eat yet so I’m taking them for my writing snack stash. Can’t let all that chocolate go to waste. We’ll probably do a Skype call with my family over Easter dinner. I am dressing up Little Bits for cute pictures. Before all the stay home stuff, I was able to get some hand-me-downs from my best friend and we got a bunch of super cute dresses for springtime and into summer.

That’s all that’s really going on. Have a safe and happy holiday, whether that’s Easter or if you just finished Passover.

Talk to you soon.
