Favorite Writing Tools

Hello everyone!

Thought I’d talk today about some of my must-have items when I write. We all have our different methods and things we love to use. This is what I use.

  1. Forest App- I have to set this on my phone to keep me from being distracted. You can’t leave the app or your digital tree will wither. You can unlock some really cute different trees.
  2. Fine Point Pens- Fine point pens are the best to write with for me. I have a ton of Sharpie Pens and the Paper Mate flair ultra fine. They don’t bleed through when I’m just using loose leaf paper or if one of my journals has thinner paper.
  3. Binder and loose leaf paper- When I’m working on a new project, I like to handwrite my notes and early outlines.
  4. Happy Planner- If you’ve seen my Instagram, you know I love my Happy Planner. I have multiple that I use for different things. Tracking my time, social media, and deadlines.
  5. Happy Planner Notebook- The notebook is just a collection of paper. I’m working on making book bibles so I can keep track of all my information for my series.
  6. Desk Calendar- I don’t always have my planner on hand so I copy my deadlines onto my desk calendar. I actually have 2. One for work with library events and deadlines. And one that is a kind of family command center with appointments and work schedule.
  7. Highlighters and Red Pens- When I edit a draft, I like to print it out and make notes all over it. Highlighters and red pens are a big tool so I can see what needs to be addressed.
