Hi everyone!
I missed last week because I’ve been so busy with my daughter. I was able to get up early once last week to get any edits done. Today was only the second day I was able to get up early and it was nowhere near as early as I wanted to. But, my main tasks today was this blog. I had a post I wanted to have out Monday that is going up tomorrow, this update, and then setting up my notebook for other drafts of future topics. Then, I have to get a shower and it’ll be time to get the baby up for the day. We’re getting a new couch delivered today and I am actually very excited about it.
I am able to get some blog drafts done while my daughter is playing on the floor or if she takes a nap. As long as I can continue to get up early, I can knock out some more edits. My new goal is to have it done next week at least for book 1. Then, I’ll work on typing up the draft and I can focus on book 2 notes. At the same time that I’ve been making notes for these two stories, I’ve been trying to get ideas for 3 and beyond. Figuring out plot threads that can be extended or closed out, inserting little bits of foreshadowing of things I want to reveal at some point, and whatever else I come up with. I’d like this to be a decent size series. The length of the books are more “novella” size so they would be quick reads. And, I’m trying to get a large backlog of books before I focus on publishing. (It’ll also give me time to save up for expenses like the professional editor and cover design)
But, that’s it from me. Need to get ready for the day and feed Little Bits. Keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post and I’ll have something up on Monday, for real this time. 🙂 Have a great week.
